Log File Analysis

Log files are the little treasure chests of hidden information and can produce important pieces of information which you may or may not be aware of and most people just ignore them...

Log files typically store information about every visit of your website, every page and parameters that are accessed, when, from what ip address and sometimes more. Log files are also stored within your system so every time someone logs in its recorded, every failed attempt will generally be logged and it's this information which can help you to realise that you are at risk.

Skrootiny can do the task that no one else wants to do, we will browse through the log files looking for common suspicious activity patterns and major errors, and should we find anything that we deem to be questionable will notify you as soon as we have completed our analysis.

We will compile a report on our findings which will be clear and simple to understand and allow your system administrators or us, if we are acting on your behalf as part of our first response package, to make alterations, block ip address or other carry out other tasks as needed.

All we require is access to the log files in some form which will be discussed upon commencement of this package which can be scheduled at daily, weekly, bi weekly, monthly or quarterly intervals.

Once we have completed our analysis of the log files we will remove the logs from our system unless you have purchased our log file storage solution where we will store your log files for an agreed amount of time which can be useful if you realise something happened in the past and you need to look back to gain further information.
